These colorful 3.5 inch balls were made by Lehmann in Germany from 1929 to 1938 and were called EPL 764. Upon a winding the ball rolls for quite a while wildly across the floor in an unpredictable, eccentric way making it hard to chase down.
This toy is shown in its original box with colorful box lid depicting the toy. The box bottom has 100 year old writing of a name and address in Liverpool.
