Archimedes Mars Flying Top

This is a flying top with three propellers made in Germany by Lehmann from 1896 to 1935. It called Mars or Archimedes and was designated as EPL 375.  The child launches  the spinning props upward and away by the yellow finger tube while holding the spiral rod steady with a finger of the other hand. The advertising  literature called it “the new boomerang.”
