Lehmann “Gustav the Miller”

This tin toy and were box were designated as EPL 230 and were made in Germany by Lehmann from 1890 to 1945. This is the later version with metal wings on the windmill and a flat, folding  base.  This later version has the name “Gustav” added and can be dissembled and reboxed if desired. These toys  operate by weight, and it appears as though the figure moves up the pole as if actually climbing on its own.   Shown in a wonderful, original box in great condition.
