This is a mystery of which I can only speculate. This is a coffee service set with serving plate, cup and saucer. Each has the same design—the original early Lehmann logo from before 1900 overlapping and linked onto the new LGB logo of the revamped Lehmann toy train company of the late 1960s. Underneath is the maker’s mark of Hutschenreuther, a well-known maker of porcelain and china decorative items that has been in business in Germany since 1914. The LGB version of Lehmann company was known for producing and selling Lehmann memorabilia. Perhaps they commissioned these to be made and sold.
