Pre-war Japanese Lehmann Balky Mule by H. Yamada

Many of the Lehmann toys were copied or replicated between WWI and WWII by the Japanese. Lehmann was very protective of his patent rights and took aggressive action to protect his company, so it unknown how the Japanese were able to make and market this nearly identical version of the Balky Mule, complete with a logo that looks very similar to the Lehmann logo. This one is made by H. Yamada and labeled as such. These are very rare and hard to find in any condition.
