50s Lehmann “Jonny” sailor boy climbs up and down string

These were made in Germany by Lehmann from 1955-1970 and are a modern version of the Climbing Monkey and Tom toys made decades earlier. Known as EPL 914 these have bright modern litho and use a clear nylon string. He has a red cloth hat. As the directions on the side of the box depict, you hold the metal loops at the end of the string to make the 6 inch sailor boy climb up and down. Shown with original colorful box missing only the top flap.
