“Tap Tap” is one of the most common Lehmann toys (EPL 560) and was made from 1907-45. It is a gardener hastily pushing a cart with spoke wheels.
With realistic leg motion, this toy was a big seller. Lehmann sold some of these stock Tap Tap toys to Fry and Sons Chocolate of Bristol, England who proceeded to pack the wheelbarrow with chocolates.
They were then sold in North America by the iconic Canadian retailer T. Eaton Co. LTD. For 25 cents. This toy and the very, very rare box are mint, but the chocolates are long gone.
