What a wonderful and beautiful toy EPL 773 is! Made only from 1927 to 1938, this impressive toy shows an oriental lady in a rickshaw pulled by a coolie. She fans herself as the umbrella turns overhead. The legs of the coolie were designed to move forward in a realistic motion as if walking. The umbrellas are removable and easy to lose, so beware of reproduced ones. The umbrella on this mint toy is 100% original and correct. The box art is spectacular, reportedly designed for Lehmann by a Japanese girl exchange student studying in Germany at the time.
